Tax News, Tips, Advice Attention all tax filers!  The deadline for filing tax returns this year has been extended to Tuesday, April 17, 2012 and extensions are due October 15.  April 15 falls on a Sunday, and April 16 is observed for Emancipation Day, a holiday celebrated in the District of Columbia.
